Talking up North Bay Village on CREW Network's Learning Excursion

October 06, 2026 4:42 PM | Dave O'Hagan (Administrator)

Dave here from the NBV Chamber!

Late last year, CREW Miami came across my radar at an NBV Chamber real estate event we hosted at the Pagani Residences sales gallery on Harbor Island. So when I heard that CREW Network's annual convention was in Miami in 2026, I knew exactly what we had to get on their radar: North Bay Village!

Always happy to talk up everything happening in the Village, I was excited that the Chamber could host one of the convention's Learning Excursions.

Our fantastic NBV Chamber President Doris Acosta, the ever-energized Chamber member Zeynep Talu-Balci, and I hosted the event at MODA, one of our favorite Chamber member venues in NBV.

But before MODA, the adventure began on the bus from the Fontainebleau Hotel, where I thoroughly enjoyed being the tour guide. We rolled into and around North Bay Village—through Treasure Island, Pelican Harbor, and Harbor Island—checking out the active construction of Shoma Bay, Continuum Club & Residences, Tula Residences, and Pagani Residences. We also checked out the new parks, the brand-new community center, and other developments within the Village.

The island walk is one of my favorite parts of the Village, so it was the perfect finale to the tour: a sunny stroll along NBV's longest island walk, at MODA at the top of West Drive, with views of the bay, Indian Creek, Sunny Isles, and beyond.

CohnReznick and CREW Miami's current president Emily Butler sponsored food from Rasoi Indian Kitchen and drinks, which fueled a terrific panel discussion led by Doris.

Joining her were NBV Mayor and land use attorney Rachel Streitfeld, and sales directors Silvana Capuzzo of Continuum Club & Residences, Goritza Draskovich of Pagani Residences, and Claudia Moreno of Tula Residences. Together they dug into the investment, lifestyle, and design forces shaping North Bay Village's transformation in line with the NBV100 Master Plan, and the residential projects defining the island community's future.

Thank you to Doris, Zeynep, MODA, and our panelists for a wonderful afternoon!

And lastly, created by Zeynep especially for the North Bay Village Learning Excursion, The Heart of the Bay market brief brings together live real estate data and local market insights to complement the visit. (It is available directly, with no email registration required.)

Now for something a little different, but still outdoors as the weather finally starts to cool: join us for Yoga with YAYA on Saturday, October 24 at new NBV Chamber member YAYA Coastal Cuisine. Grab your mat and bring a friend!

Here are the details.
